Pastor Randolph M. Thomas has been in ministry since 1980; as he confessed his calling at the age of 10. The following year, he preached his first sermon, "Make a Joyful Noise" (Psalms 100 KJV). Through faithful service and a humble spirit, he received his Preacher's License on June 1, 1988. Growing in grace, he received his Certificate of Ordination on January 31, 1993 from the Ordaining Council of the Greater Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. In 2000, due to his faithfulness as a part of the Greater Bethlehem ministerial staff, he was appointed as the Pastoral Administrative Assistant; where he served until being called to the First Missionary Baptist Church.

His gift of preaching has brought him before many esteemed religious and educational representatives. After several years of observation, he was selected by Dr. Eddie J. Albert, a former Chancellor of the Tennessee School of Religion - Tuskegee Extension to receive, and have confessed upon him the prestigious degrees of; Bachelors of Theology (2006), Masters of Theology (2008), and Doctor of Ministry (2010). His ministry has grown beyond the pulpit, He is a talented actor, a gifted composer, and a spiritually blessed singer. He now sings with the Spiritual Voices of Detroit; a group of pastors with one distinct goal of spreading the love of God through music. 

In 1989, he met and fell in love with his beautiful wife, Lady Sonda Thomas, and on February 22, 1998 they were married in Holy Matrimony. Together, they parent seven children. Lady Thomas is a licensed professional counselor and is presently employed as a Supervisor at a local crisis center. She strives to be a listening ear, with a spiritual touch, for the congregants as they face life's challenges. Together, Pastor Randolph and Lady Sonda Thomas have served in ministry for over 20 years; heeding to the will of God for their lives.
